How to guess it?
The introductory text said that the airline no longer exists, which means that it couldn’t possibly be Aeroflot. Plus, it was a Hawker Siddeley Trident operator. I think that alone was sufficient to guess that it was this airline, which merged with another one in 1974 to become British Airways.

In a multiple-choice poll,
51% of players got the right answer, and 49% got the wrong answer. The most popular wrong answers were Aeroflot and BOAC (16% each).
