How to guess it?
Contrary to popular belief, this was not an impossible game:- The submission form said the airline still existed (in despite of some confusion on the initial few days).
- Therefore, it could NOT be Braniff, in despite of the "Flying colours" mention.
- It wasn't Flying Colours either because "the name of the airline is hidden everywhere."
- At some point, the airline flew to all the destinations listed.
- The colours of the strips could help.
- The location of the magazine where this ad was featured was a fairly easy clue. Now, can you picture many airlines advertising on a magazine made for Eastern Canada and therefore, having flights out of Eastern Canada?
Once again, this was an advertisement published in a 1989 issue of The Atlantic Advocate, a magazine distributed in Eastern Canada. As no wrong answer stood out this time, there is no "most submitted wrong answer" in the statistics.
