This month, we had an advertisement from a 1985 issue of the
New York Magazine for an airline that no longer exists.
Click or tap on the ad to reveal the answer.
How to guess it?
Hmmm.. “New-York style snacks” inflight! It couldn’t be PEOPLExpress nor Eastern, because those two airlines were mentioned as being competitors. And I doubt it could have been Presidential Airways or Pan Am because the aircraft depicted is a DC-9 or an MD-80. Because of the phone number, it could have been Continental though… or an airline bought by Continental later on. Precisely.
Statistics
In a multiple-choice poll,
48% of players got the right answer, and 52% got the wrong answer. The most popular wrong answers were Pan Am and PEOPLExpress (10%).
