How to guess it?

The major clue was the somewhat common name of the program: Perks. The slogan "We make you feel like flying" could have also been of a big help. The airline used a DC-9/MD-80 aircraft as depicted on the picture. In case you're wondering why the phone number was hidden from the original ad, here's the reason: the number has been reassigned not to this airline's successor, but to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, and it connects you directly to a live representative. Had you dialed that number, you would have had no choice but to say, like this author did the first time, that you dialed the wrong number!
