This Guess The Airline was particularly special because of the variety of wrong answers submitted, including a colorful fictitious airline! This was a 1980 ad taken from an issue of
Air Transport World.

How to guess it?
There weren't many clues in this advertisement, except the text introducing this advertisement, that specified that the airline no longer exists. This didn't prevent players from submitting names of airlines that are still in business! Other than that, it was a simple matter of knowing which Venezuelan airline (according to the text), in 1980 (year of publishing of the ad), would have been large enough to fly the routes in the tiny route map, and have ORANGE as its major color (picture of ticket folder). Remember: it is orange, not red (so it couldn't have been Swissair or TWA... and certainly not Northwest, which still exists). All advertisements displayed on Guess The Airline are retouched so that colors look realistic.
