Synchronized flying

Delta Air Lines, in this commercial, is not only a US domestic airline, it becomes an international carrier with "220 Delta aircraft flying from Europe to America. And that calls for a little synchronized flying." The commercial shows many Delta Airlines B767s flying in formation, in analogy with four dolphins swimming, along with a beautiful new age music soundtrack: "Adiemus"Amazon.com link, featuring the voice of Miriam Stockley. Its message is simple: Delta flies to Europe on time.

There is an English version of this commercial, but the editing is different. The video you are about to see combines the best of both worlds: the English narration combined with the French editing which, in this author's opinion, is superior.

This ad was aired long before online booking was an everyday reality. Imagine what happens when a single airline reservations agent gets, in a single call, reservations for LBB, CVG, LGA, MLU, ABQ, PDX and BTM, one after the other. If you don't know what these airport codes stand for, look them up on the airport code finder on airodyssey.net or watch the commercial. The conclusion of this commercial is funny when the supervisor asks, indirectly, if it was a busy day.
