guess the airline!
I am pleasantly surprised that people responded so positively to this relatively easy game. This month, we had an ad published in National Geographic magazine in the mid-1960s Ready? Scroll down! This is the mystery commercial. Scroll down to view the full version! ![]() Almost there! This is the full version! ![]() How to guess it?A lot of people were clever enough to look at the few clues here and there. First of all, how Japanese is this ad? A lot! In the 1960s, there weren't many Japanese airlines that had an international network. Japan Air Lines (JAL) had, back then, a very distinctive route map, that would be featured on its commercials. All-Nippon Airways (ANA) would start international flights several years later. Plus, many people will have recognized the style of this particular commercial, part of a complete ad campaign. StatisticsCorrect answers: 79% Wrong answers: 21% Most submitted wrong answers: ANA and Singapore (4% each) Other answers submitted: Amecone Air Line (sic), China Airlines, EVA Air, Korean Air Lines, Northwest, Thai, TWA. Statistics include all submissions, including second, third tries, etc.
