I am amazed and a bit dissapointed at the number of wrong and sometimes bizarre answers I got this time. The clues were there, people! Once again: this is an ad published in the National Geographic, in the early 1990s. The airline went out of business a few months following this ad. How to guess it? The introductory text mentions that the airline went out of business a few months after the commercial was published, therefore the airline went out of business in the early 1990s. So, it's not TWA. It flew the 747, as indicated by the airplane on the bottom, so it's not New York Air. It had many many destinations in Europe and had a commuter service in New England. One could also supposed it's a New York-based airline, selling this city to Europeans, so it's not British Airways. And there's the slogan. Some people added, with their answer, comments like "The one and only" and "The legend of commercial aviation". People miss "The world's most experienced airline", obviously. And you know what else? The building appearing on the picture is actually the former Pan Am building. It now sports the MetLife logotype, the insurance company that bought the premises in the 1980s, during the beginning of Pan Am's demise. Oh, and one last thing... could you please verify that the airline name you submit actually exists? That's why there's the word "sic" next to some entries!
