How to guess it???
Very easy: the major clue here was the aircraft type: the VC-10. Few airlines operated the VC-10, and only one had a major operation across the Atlantic. In case you hadn't guessed it yet, you had the color scheme to help you out. BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation), the company that would merge with BEA (British European Airways) to form British Airways. The majority got that, which is why I did not accept answers that were even remotely similar to it!

Statistics
Correct answers: 89% Wrong answers: 11% Most submitted wrong answer: British Airways (5%) Other answers submitted: Air France, American, BEA, Continental. Statistics include second, third tries, etc. Disqualified entries (e.g. a player submitting several answers at the same time) are not included.
