guess the airline!
This is the exact opposite of last month's game. Sure, we have an incredible participation rate for this guess the airline, just like last time. But now, 96% of all people submitted a correct answer! Perhaps this game was a bit too easy. Anyway, here goes a very short explanation... and at long last, for your viewing pleasure, the full version of the ad. This commercial was taken from a mid-1990s issue of Frequent Flyer, the monthly magazine for OAG Flight Guides subscribers. Scroll down!

Almost there! This is the full version!
How to guess it??? Of course, everybody submitted Qantas. It was simply a matter of seeing which airline has or had the following airlines as partners... before joining OneWorld: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Canadian Airlines (RIP), Continental Airlines and USAir (now USAirways). And which airline could fly to the Australia and South Pacific. Sure, another option would have been Air New Zealand, or maybe even Ansett. But the name doesn't fit the very small grey box masking the airline's name. Well done, everyone! By the way, I know I made a phony frequent flyer card in the "mystery" version of the commercial... but hey, isn't that better than a blank card on top of all these cards? | ||
