guess the airline!
Month-Year This game was quite particular. Only three answer possibilities were submitted: Aloha Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines. This ad was taken from the back cover of a National Geographic issue of the late 1960s or early 1970s, United States version. Scroll down a bit and you'll find out which one was right!

How to guess it???
This one was a little harder to guess. But some elements were enough to indicate the airline. Take a look at the font. You might say "Not a very precise clue since almost any airline could use this font"... Well, the particular font strategy is used by many advertisers so that as soon as you see a particular type of font, you think of a particular company (think of the fonts used by Hertz, Swissair, Volkswagen...)

Also, in magazines like National Geographic (where this ad was scanned from), United offered its "free credit card" to allow its new passengers to fly now and pay later. Finally, then, and now, United Airlines is the major airline flying from the U.S. Mainland to the Hawaii Islands!
